“I find that the volunteering part was most effective for me in order to better understand the cards’ function.”
“Actual demonstration of the use of cards through sharing of the participants’ experiences is effective. I learn a lot from observing how Mr.Ammar conduct a metaphoric card activity with Husna while she shared her family stories.”
“I found the taking turns of all participants to suggest insightful questions to the clients during the metaphoric card activity effective. This has not only allowed us to test our understanding regarding the usage of the metaphoric card but it has also made me learn better by gathering different thoughtful inputs from all participants.”
“The discussions that were held after the demonstration by Mr.Ammar on how to interact with the client while doing the metaphoric card activities were effective to let me learn. I think it is good that there were some questions asked by Mr.Ammar to probe our thinking and discussions. Most importantly, the debrief by Mr.Ammar tells us why he interacted with the ‘client’ in such a way and how CBT (as well as EFT, EFiT, and ACT) could be implemented through the use of a metaphoric card was helpful.”
“Practical application during the training and interactive activities. I find the sharing after the metaphoric card activity helpful.”
“I gain insights into how couples can have 2 interpretations of the “relationship” card, but both want the same end goal, just different methods to get there.”
