Coaching
Creative process to maximize personal potentials which includes raising awareness of the here-and-now and taking responsibility for forging your future.
Coaching can be offered in different situations and different environments based on the needs of the individual. The term coaching typically refers to methods of helping others to improve, develop, learn new skills, find personal success, achieve aims and to manage life change and personal challenges. Coaching commonly addresses attitudes, behaviors, skills and knowledge, as well as career goals and aspirations, and can also focus on physical and spiritual development too.
The process for scheduling the initial intake session is as simple as booking a 75 minutes session with one of our practitioners. For couples, the process for scheduling the initial intake session is slightly different than individual sessions, as suggested below.
For couples, we recommend scheduling several in-office sessions as follows:
- First, a 100-minute initial intake session with the couple.
- Second, a 50-minute individual session with each partner—within 7 days from the previous session.
- Lastly, a 75-minute session with the couple—within 7 days from the last individual session.
During these sessions, you will have time to meet with one of our practitioners to:
• Walkthrough forms, • express your goals for treatment, • participate in a thorough psychological assessment (as needed), • gain an understanding of the practitioner’s approach to coaching/counseling/therapy, and • collaborate & determine the best course of action for on-going couples counseling and / or referrals to additional health service providers.
If at the end of the intake process we agree to work together, we will begin on-going treatment.
A canceled appointment hurts three people: you, your therapist, and another client who could have potentially utilized your time slot.
Clients can cancel or reschedule an appointment anytime, as long as they provide 48 hours notice. If you cancel an appointment with less than 48 hours notice, or fail to show up, you will be charged for the session.
Consultation sessions are 30 minutes long. First time sessions (Intake) are usually longer in duration compared to the follow-up sessions as the practitioner needs to go over some forms and explain the process of the needed service. Follow up for Individual sessions need 50 minutes (or 75 minutes for intake session), Couple sessions need 75 minutes (or 100 75 minutes for intake session), and Family and/or Group sessions will need 100 minutes (or 120 minutes for intake session). Sometimes a session will need to extend beyond the set duration, and in such circumstances, the practitioner will discuss it further with the client.
All sessions are paid in advance based on the plan a client has with the practitioner. Session fees vary based on the duration of the session as well as the type of service.
