
Clinical Psychology Intern
Background
Feni received her Master’s in Human Sciences (Clinical and Counselling Psychology) from the International Islamic University Malaysia. Right after her postgraduate studies and clinical trainings, she works an Associate Clinical Psychologist in SOLS Health and also currently heading the Community Services in that organization. Prior to her postgraduate study, she had experience working with a child whom diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as a Shadow Aide. She was also a former lecturer in Erican College teaching Psychology courses. Feni is also keen and actively involved in volunteerism and community services by attaching herself with the NGOs (e.g. Mercy Malaysia in providing Psychosocial Intervention aftermath the disaster). She and her respective teammates in the voluntary work had also organized a number of programmes for the community such as the aborigines, underprivileged community as well as the school programmes. In her postgraduate study, she worked on her research dissertation/thesis which focusing on the use of computer or technology in helping the children with ASD on their respective areas of difficulties. She has worked with various types of clients with various psychological conditions and age range; children, adolescent and adult. In addition, she has been trained and uses various psychotherapy modalities/approaches which suited the clients’ needs such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and principles of Adlerian Psychology. She completed her clinical placement in the psychiatry department of Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
