Employee and Family Assistance Program

At Relationary, we provide a multitude of programmes not only for clients, but also for everyday citizens too! EFA stands for Employee and Family Assistance. Like EAP, it is a workplace benefit that provides employees and their families with access to confidential support services for personal and work-related issues. However, EFA services tend to be more comprehensive than traditional EAP services and may include a broader range of resources and support.

Our EFA Services typically include:

Counseling: Employees and their family members can access confidential counseling services at Relationary to address issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, and substance abuse.

Referrals: EFA Practitioners can refer EFA service users and their family members to outside professionals or resources, such as therapists, support groups, or legal and financial advisors.

Work-life balance resources: EFAs may offer help to EFA service users to manage work-related stress, improve time management, or balance work and personal responsibilities. This may include resources related to childcare, eldercare, legal issues, financial planning, and more.

Health and wellness resources: Our EFA Practitioners may offer resources and support for employees and their families to improve their physical health and wellbeing. This may include resources related to nutrition, exercise, stress management, and other health-related topics.

Crisis support: EFAs can provide immediate support and resources in the event of a crisis or emergency situation, such as a natural disaster, workplace violence, or a traumatic event.

EFA Services are typically provided by a third-party provider that contracts with the employer to offer the services to employees and their families. EFA Services are usually free of charge for employees and their families, and are designed to be confidential and easily accessible

Benefits of Employee and Family Assistance Program

1. Comprehensive Support

As mentioned earlier, our EFA services are typically more comprehensive than traditional EAP services. In addition to providing counseling and referral services from our practitioners, EFAs may offer a wider range of resources and support for employees and their families.

2. Family Support

EFA services are designed to support not just employees, but their families as well. This can be especially important for employees who may be dealing with personal issues that are impacting their family members. By offering our support to both employees and their families, EFAs can help to address issues before they become more serious or impact work performance.

3. Prevention and Early Intervention

EFA services are designed to help employees and their families address issues before they become more serious. By providing resources and support from our EFA Practitioners for issues such as stress, anxiety, and relationship problems, EFA providers can help to prevent these issues from escalating and impacting work performance.

4. Accessibility

Like EAP services, EFA services provided by Relationary are typically available 24/7 and can be accessed online, by phone, or in person. This can make it easier for employees and their families to access support when they need it, and can help to reduce the stigma around seeking mental health care.

5. Confidentiality

EFA services are kept highly confidential by our EFA practitioners, which means that employees and their families can access services without fear of reprisal or retaliation from their employer. This can be especially important for employees who may be hesitant to seek support due to concerns about privacy.

Summary

Overall, EFA services can be a valuable benefit for employees and their families, providing them with access to comprehensive and confidential support by our licensed EFA practitioners for a range of personal and work-related issues. By offering EFA services, employers can demonstrate their commitment to supporting employee wellbeing and productivity, and can help employees and their families access the care and resources they need to thrive both at work and in their personal lives.

Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFA Services) and Employee Assistance Program Services (EAPs) are different types of workplace program that provide support and resources to employees. However, there are some key differences between the two.

Our EFA Services provide a range of services to support employees and their families. These services include counseling, legal advice, financial planning, parenting, taking care of the elderly, and referral to community resources. The focus is on supporting the entire family unit and helping employees navigate personal and family-related challenges that may be impacting their well-being and work performance.

On the other hand, our EAP Services provide a range of services to support employees only dealing with personal or work-related issues that may be impacting their job performance, mental health, and overall well-being. These services may include counseling, crisis intervention, and referral to community resources. The focus is on helping employees overcome personal or work-related challenges that may be impacting their ability to perform their job effectively.

In other words, our EFA Services are EAP Services that provide employees with more support options to choose from.
