Most people who search for an ADHD test have noticed something real: trouble starting and finishing things, restlessness, a mind that will not settle, deadlines that slip no matter how much you care. A free online quiz can put words to that experience, and that has value. What it cannot do is diagnose ADHD. Online quizzes are not validated for diagnosis, cannot rule out the conditions that mimic ADHD, such as anxiety, depression, sleep problems and thyroid issues, and cannot be used for school accommodations, workplace adjustments or treatment decisions. A clinical ADHD assessment, conducted by a licensed practitioner using validated instruments and a structured clinical interview, can do all of those things. That is the test that changes something.
What a clinical ADHD assessment involves
Screening versus diagnosis is the distinction that matters. A screening is a short, structured check of whether your symptoms warrant a full assessment; it is quick and inexpensive, and an honest screening sometimes ends with: this does not look like ADHD, and here is what it might be instead. A diagnostic assessment is the full process: a detailed developmental history, validated rating scales completed by you and, where relevant, by a parent, partner or teacher, a structured clinical interview, and the systematic ruling out of other explanations.

Is there a free ADHD test I can take online?
There are many free online ADHD quizzes, and some are based on legitimate screening questions. They can be a useful first signal, but none of them can diagnose ADHD, and a worrying quiz result is not a diagnosis any more than a reassuring one rules ADHD out. If a quiz result concerns you, the meaningful next step is a clinical screening with a licensed practitioner. How much does an ADHD test cost in Malaysia?
A clinical ADHD assessment is priced by scope, because a child assessment involving school input is a different piece of work from an adult assessment. Can adults be tested for ADHD, or is it only for children?
Adults can absolutely be assessed. Many Malaysian adults reach us after a lifetime of being called lazy or careless, often after their own child's diagnosis prompts the question. Adult assessment looks at your current life and your childhood history, because ADHD begins in childhood even when nobody named it at the time.

Can the assessment be done online?
Large parts of an adult assessment can run by secure video, and clients outside the Klang Valley regularly complete assessments this way. Child assessments usually involve at least one in-person session at our Subang Jaya centre. We will tell you exactly what can and cannot be done remotely in your case during the free call.
