Trauma is not the event. It is what happened inside you afterward: the way your body still braces for impact, the way certain sounds or smells send you somewhere else entirely, the emotional numbness that keeps you from feeling close to anyone. You might not even connect your current struggles to something that happened years ago. But your body remembers what your mind has tried to move past, and it keeps the alarm running long after the danger is gone.
How We Work With Trauma
We follow a phased approach because rushing into processing before you are ready can do more harm than good. The first phase is about safety. We help you build the internal resources to manage what comes up without being overwhelmed by it.
When you are ready, we use specialised methods to help your brain and body process what happened. This is not about reliving the worst moments in detail. It is about changing how those memories are stored so they stop hijacking your present.
The final phase is about reclaiming your life. Not going back to who you were before, because that is not how it works. Moving forward as someone who has been through something hard and come out the other side with more capacity, not less.
Your therapist is trained in EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and structured approaches for trauma processing. Sessions are available in Subang Jaya or online.
Common questions
How is this different from regular therapy?
Trauma therapy uses specialised techniques designed for how traumatic memories are stored in the brain and body. General counselling may not have the tools to process deeply held trauma safely.
Do I have to talk about what happened in detail?
No. Some approaches, like EMDR, do not require you to narrate the event at all. You always control what you share and how fast we move.
Does online trauma therapy work?
Yes. Research supports the effectiveness of online trauma therapy, including EMDR via video call. Our therapists are trained to adapt protocols for the online setting.
